The Australian Schools Web Challenge – blasting students through time and onto the Internet.
What’s the Challenge? The biggest schools Internet competition in Australia. For up to 5 months students research the topic and build a web site.
Who meets the Challenge? Each year hundreds of Australian school teams from primary to upper secondary take on the challenge.
Students benefits? Participating students become a source of community pride, their self esteem increases…and then there are prizes.

Judging’s a blast! Entries close on 10 July 2000. Over 100 judges across Australia from Departments of Education, Catholic Education Offices, Associations of Independent Schools and many more will be entertained by time travellers’ web sites.
Who wins? Teams that follow the rules and display initiative in both research and web site design. Winners are invited to the National Award Ceremony in August. Last year’s winning web sites are just an example of young Australian talent!
OnLine with a mission Throughout the Challenge students are supported by coordinators from the Cooperative Multimedia Centers.
